MedDA AI-Powered Medicine Reminders

MedDA is a simple and friendly medicine reminder designed for people that are constantly forgetting things. The original target audience is people (like us) dealing with ADHD. Anyone that wants friendly but persistent reminders may find it helpful.

Simple

Do one thing, and do it well

MedDA does exactly one thing: remind you to take your medicine. Most reminder apps pile on pill trackers, drug-interaction checkers, inventory counts and health dashboards — useful for those that need it, but they also make the apps more complicated. For MedDA, the first requirement was simplicity. Everything had to be simple enough for grandparents to use.

  • Clean, easy-to-read user interface
  • Voice input for hands-free operation
  • Simple setup — no account to create

Editing the spoken reminder message
Friendly

A familiar face that speaks up

Instead of a buzz you'll swipe away without thinking, MedDA delivers spoken reminders in a warm, natural voice. The message it speaks can be customized to say anything you like. You can also reply to the reminder with your voice — just say:

  • “I'll take it now”
  • “Remind me later”

We also let you change the message the avatars deliver. Since the messages are generated by AI, you can ask it to say anything that will motivate you to take your medicine.

Snooze dialog

Not ready to take your medicine right now?

Easy

Just say “Give me 10 more minutes.”

Editing a reminder to record it as taken or skipped

You're going out for a movie and don't want your reminders going off in the middle of it?

Easy

Just take your medicine now, then edit the reminder and mark it “Already Taken.”

Flexible

For when life gets in the way

Sometimes life happens in unexpected ways. We know that taking your medicine on time is important, but you might be in the middle of something you don't want to stop. It's OK — just say “Give me 10 more minutes,” or however much time you need. MedDA's Snooze feature lets you delay any reminder for up to 120 minutes.

And if a reminder came when your phone was out of battery, that's OK too. We also let you edit reminders, so you can record your medicine as taken or not. This level of flexibility lets you keep accurate records of your medicine, regardless of what life throws at you.

Reliable

A reminder designed to reach you

A reminder is only worth anything if it gets to you. That can be difficult to do if your phone is busy doing other things, like watching a movie or using another app. To overcome that issue, the MedDA app will request a number of permissions including Notification, Alarms, Display over other Apps, and Do Not Optimize. These are necessary to ensure that your reminders will reach you even when you are doing something else. Don't worry, we won't abuse your trust by using these permissions to push ads to you. We will only use them to deliver your reminders to take your medicine.

  • Works when your phone is in sleep mode
  • Works even while watching videos
  • Escalates to a stronger reminder if you don't respond

Because MedDA does one job and runs entirely on your device, we don't need a pricey monthly subscription to keep it going. And there are no ads, ever. • Zero ads — no banners, no pop-ups, no video interruptions
  • Runs on-device — your health information never leaves your phone
