This Privacy Policy explains how Amora Software ("AmoraSoft", "we", "us") handles information in connection with the MedDA mobile app and the AmoraSoft website. By using MedDA or this website, you agree to this policy.
Information stored on your device
MedDA is a medication-reminder app that runs on your device. The information you provide is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to AmoraSoft or anyone else. This includes:
- Your first name (used only to personalize spoken reminders).
- The common names you give your medicines or reminders (for example, "Morning Pills").
- Your reminder schedules, and your record of doses taken, missed, or snoozed.
- Your app preferences — chosen avatar, voice, background, color theme, and custom reminder messages.
Because this information lives only on your device, you are in control of it. Uninstalling MedDA, or clearing the app's data in your device settings, permanently removes it.
Voice and AI processing happen on your device
MedDA speaks your reminders aloud and can understand your spoken responses (such as "I'll take it now"). This text-to-speech and speech recognition runs entirely on your device, offline. During normal use, your voice and audio are processed locally and are not recorded, stored, or sent to us.
The microphone is used only to listen for your spoken response to a reminder. It is not used at any other time.
The one exception: support requests with diagnostic logs
If you contact our support team and choose to include diagnostic logs, those logs are sent to AmoraSoft to help us diagnose the problem. Attaching logs is optional and off by default — you decide each time you request support.
Because MedDA is voice-driven, these diagnostic logs may include app activity and the text of what the speech engine recognized from your spoken responses. We ask that you review what you're sending before you send it.
Any information you transfer to AmoraSoft in this way is used only to resolve your support issue and to improve the reliability and quality of MedDA. It is never used for advertising and is never sold.
How we use information
We use the limited information described above only to:
- Respond to and resolve a support request you send us.
- Diagnose problems and improve MedDA's features, reliability, and voice experience.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information; we do not use it for advertising; and MedDA does not track you across apps or websites.
Sharing and third parties
We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. In normal use, the MedDA app does not send your data to any third-party service. If you send us a support request, we may use trusted service providers to receive and manage that message; any such provider processes the information only on our behalf and under an obligation of confidentiality. We may also disclose information if required by law.
App permissions
To deliver reminders reliably, MedDA may ask for the following permissions. Each is used only for the purpose described — not to collect data about you:
- Notifications — to show your medication reminders.
- Alarms & reminders — to schedule reminders to fire at the exact times you set.
- Display over other apps — to show a reminder even when another app is open.
- Microphone — to hear your spoken response to a reminder (processed on-device).
- Ignore battery optimizations — to ensure a reminder still reaches you when your phone is idle or busy.
Health-related information
The names of your medicines and your record of doses may be considered health-related. This information stays on your device and is not collected by us, except within diagnostic logs that you specifically choose to send. We treat any such information you share with us as confidential.
Data retention and deletion
On your device: your data remains until you delete it. Uninstalling MedDA or clearing its app data removes it completely.
Information you send us: we keep support messages and any logs you attach only as long as needed to resolve your issue and improve the product, and then delete them. You may ask us to delete information you've sent by emailing support@amorasoft.com.
Security
Data stored on your device is protected by your device's own security. Any information you send to us for support is transmitted over an encrypted connection. No method of storage or transmission is ever completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we handle.
Children's privacy
MedDA is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can view, change, or delete the information in MedDA at any time directly within the app, or by clearing the app's data. For anything you've sent to our support team, you can request access or deletion by contacting us. Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have additional rights over your personal information; contact us to exercise them.
The AmoraSoft website
This website is informational. It does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you contact us or submit a form on the website, we use the details you provide only to respond to you.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of MedDA after an update means you accept the revised policy.
